News/Notes:

We had an amazing day at Trodo yesterday.  First time competitors braved their apprehensions and fears to sign up and play.  I know there were lots of butterflies going into the day, but we had a blast and I hope everyone walked away today with good experiences, great stories and a bug to continue to compete.  CFB Team 4 (Debbie, Maria, Adrian and Shawn) took home a coveted "Grit Award" for their hard work and perseverance throughout the day, CFB 1 (Ashley, Jackie, Malopy and Jason B) held onto 2nd place through 3 WODs, but the thruster 3 RM WOD proved to be a tough one to hang with some pretty big teams.  We saw PRs like crazy today in the Thrusters.  It was quite amazing to see everyone throw up big weight and look good doing it.  We saw incredible teamwork, community and good will.   What a great day.  I am so proud of all our competitors.

We have an official community with CrossFit Dinami to build teams to qualify for the Granite Games.  Our community name is Greek and Emerald Isles.  We will perform qualifying workouts throughout June and sectional workouts in July.  The online qualifier is $25 and we have a discount code for $5 off (ATHLETE2014.)   The Online qualifier will be performed either at CFB or CF Dinami.  We participate as individuals (much like the CrossFit Games Open) but will create teams in the sectionals.  So please sign up for the community.  I am excited and honored we have been asked to do this as this is one more thing I love about the CrossFit community at large.  We have great relationships and rapport with so many of our CF neighbors and this is one more element that makes me so happy to be a CrossFit Affiliate.  Granite Games are September 12-14.  http://www.thegranitegames.com/

We are 2 week into The Whole Life Challenge many of you have embraced the change in lifestyle, some of you having a little difficulty adapting.  Stick with it, it should be getting easier.  Only 39 days to go!
