Sunday March 30, 2014
Open Gym:9:00-11:00am CF Kids: Varsity 11:00-12:00pm JV 12:00-12:35pm
Today is a rest day and roll out day, but, if you need to do or redo 14.5 we are here from 9-11am to get you judged. I know about 6 folks will be doing it so please come in and help them through. Thanks.
Please remember to submit your score before 7 pm tomorrow, Monday March 31. It would be a shame to let all that hard work go to waste.
Save the Date!!! April 12 we are going to have our CFB Grand Re-Re-Opening. We will be open throughout the day running WODs. We will have food, drink and maybe live music (Still working on the band.) Bring your friends and family to help us celebrate this momentous occasion and show everyone what a great space and community you helped build and create. We have sent out a Facebook invite and an evite will follow this week. Please "like" CFB on Facebook so we can add you to the invite list.
Amy Wiltgen is moving in and is accepting appointments for massages in the room next to the office. Amy will offer "By Appointmnet" and Walk Ins after WODs. We are excited to have Amy on board as I believe this is a service every CrossFit Box should have. Amy has all the details as far as pricing and how to book an appointment. Introduce yourself as you just might find out she will be your new best friend.
Our next On-Ramp will begin next Monday April 7, 2014 at 6:45 pm. If you have family or friends who have expressed an interest in CFB, but thought the old Box was too small, please let them know we are moved in and ready for them.
Gareth Blakesley Executive Director of Lake Katherine Nature Center and CFB athlete is hosting "Break for the Lake 5k" trail run May 18, 2014. This is an amazing course which is off road (which is so much more fun!!) in a beautiful part of the area in Palos Heights. Please join us for this great event. We are proud to announce CrossFit Beverly will be holding it's first USAW Certification and seminar May 2-3. Mark Cannella will be our coach and trainer for the weekend. Mark is the head coach and president of the Columbus Weightlifting Club (CWLC) in Columbus, OH. He has been a part of the lifting community as a lifter, coach, administrator and official for over 20 years. Cannella coaches Olympian Holley Mangold, a member of the 2010 World team, a former Junior World team member and has produced many other National level lifters. As the founder and meet director of the Arnold Weightlifting Championships since 2003, Mark, has been able to establish one of the most renowned weightlifting meets in the world. The Arnold Weightlifting Championships actively draws international and top American lifters each year. We have submitted all the necessary documents for the Beverly Area Barbell Club. We will be a recognized lifting club with the USAW which will allow us to compete in USAW sanctioned meets and tournaments. This has been one of my dreams from the beginning of CrossFit Beverly but square footage has been a limiting factor. We now have the space and resources to make this a reality. We will have more details and training will begin after the Open. It is not limited to just CFB athletes. All are welcome who want to participate in Olympic lifting.
If you have been a victim of the Target credit card fraud and received a new card, and you used that card for your monthly membership draw, please see John to get an updated card on file.
As always if you have any comments, concerns or issues, please do not hesitate to address them. We want you to be happy and have fun while you are at the Box. Send any correspondence to firstname.lastname@example.org
