News/Notes:

We are working hard on the new building.  Things are coming along and although we are hopeful to make our move in date of February 3rd it's looking like we will be pushing back a bit.  Flooring is ordered and on trucks to deliver, the new rig is ordered  and will begin to be assembled by the end of the week, we have the painters starting Wednesday.  We are moving nicely but can always use helpers.  If you can tile, paint, or know how to hang and cut crown molding we could use you.  If you have time to help lay down the floor, we could use you.  We are not too proud to say we need hands on deck, and would be so appreciative if you could lend a hand.  So far so much has been done by so few.  The tireless work put in to making the space come along has been nothing short of phenomenal.  We want to thank those who have worked so hard over the past month.  Dave, and Dennis have been working around the clock to try and meet the deadline.  Rick, Sonntag, Randy, Sewnig, Beetle, Richie, you all have helped this all come together and we are grateful.  It's gonna be great, and I am so excited to begin this new chapter of CFB in such a great new space.

We are going into week 8 of our 12 week Oly strength program.  We have already seen 1RMs get crushed and we are eager to see the final results.  Technique and form have improved dramatically and we are so happy to see the progress.  We hope you are feeling stronger in the strict pull ups.  Now we are 2/3s the way through, let's start weening ourselves off the bands we have been using for so long.  Let's trim back the bands and see how we do in reps.  Sure the rep count might go down, but let's us that as a measure to build on.  We have seen a lot of barriers broken in this young 2014 and we want to see it continue.  You guys have so much strength and potential it is a pleasure to watch and coach.

We will be shaking up the CF Kids program effective February 2 We are going to move JV from Monday to Sunday and add a Varsity on Sunday as well giving our Varsity athletes 3 days of training. The new schedule looks like this. Sunday's: Varsity (13-17 years)  11am-12:00pm,   JV (6-12 years) 12:00pm-12:35pm Monday's: JV Moves to Sunday.   Varsity (13-17 years)  5:00pm-6:00pm Wednesday's JV (6-12 years) 4:10-4:45pm, Varsity (13-17 years) 5:00pm-6:00pm

Honored Prairie is making a delivery next Saturday.  Orders must be submitted by end of day Monday Jan 27.  Go to http://sevensons.net/howtobuy/preorder_pickup create an account and go shopping.  Cash or check at time of delivery only. They have amazing eggs, the breakfast sausage is outstanding.  We really like the ground sirloin and their lamb products are great.  Quite frankly you can not go wrong.  Blain is a great guy and he is so conscientious, we are so proud to have a partnership with him and his family farm.

We will offer our final On-Ramp here on Western beginning Monday Feb 3.  Tell your friends who are on the fence of joining CFB this is a great time to join to be a part of the big move.

The CrossFit Games Open will begin Thursday February 27.  The Open is a great opportunity to test your training against every other CrossFitter on earth.  Who knows? maybe we have the next Rich Froning/Sam Briggs and don't even know it.  Once the Open begins we will cancel Team WODs on Saturday to offer heats to participate in the Open.  That means every Saturday from March 1 to Saturday March 29 we will not be running Team WODs.  We also schedule the WODs Thursday's to give you an opportunity to test it out before trying again Saturday.  And if Saturday's are not doable for you, you can do the WOD Thursday and have a score to post. You can also come in during Open Gym Sunday's to participate and get judged and a score.   This is an amazing time of year as the community building is tremendous and the atmosphere is electric.  The CrossFit Game Open registration is live and you can sign up for $20.  We encourage everyone to participate just to get a feel for where we as a box and as individual athletes sit in this world of CrossFit.
