Rest/Open Gym/Power Yoga

Rest after a couple of tough day.  Come in and work on some skills, stretch, band mobility or foam roll.  Heck do 'em all (9:30-11:30)  We have a guest instructor for yoga today, Grace Manning, who has attended all our classes since offering it.  Come in and try the class.  Session begins at noon.

News/Notes:

We are amending the schedule on MindBody this week.  Making some changes to Saturday and Sunday schedules.  This may affect those of you whom have blocked your class time.  I hope it doesn't, but if so just re-sign up.

Saturday October 20 will be our first Friends and Family WOD Day.  Explaining CrossFit to family and friends is often difficult and people seem a bit intimidated by it. We want to open our doors to them and allow you the opportunity to show them what you do every day at CFB and what they can do.  We will start at 10 and go until noon running heats of our classic baseline WOD.  If you remember your time when you first joined us you will now be able to see how much you can beat it.  The special of this program is for every new athlete who chooses to join our community we will give them and you 20% off your next month membership.  Bring 5 new athletes who join us, next month is free for you!  We have 280 likes on Facebook.  That is mostly due to you all.  Bring some friends and get a discount on your membership. Who doesn't want to save some dough before the holidays?

Sunday October 28 at 11 am is the first annual Freedom Isn't Free 5K which honors Cpl. Conner Lowry.  CrossFit Beverly is a proud sponsor of this event where all proceeds from the Freedom Isn’t Free 5K event will go to the Cpl. Conner Lowry Memorial Scholarship Fund at Brother Rice High School.  So please join us as a team and show our support for our fallen soldiers and noble cause.  There will be big screen TV's for the Bears game at noon under the tent with burgers and beer.  We might even set up a station and do like we did at the Ridge Run where we incorporate the 5K into a WOD.  Registration is $35 and you can sign up here, http://freedomisntfree5k.com/?page_id=19.  More details about WOD to come.
