We had a great night celebrating the close of the Open. Tons of food and fun as we awarded Team Super Sloths the CFB Affiliate Cup. Sloths also received medals for the accomplishment. If you are a Sloth and didn’t get your medal please see a coach to get yours. We also presented Trent with “Spirit of the Games” Award. Trent exemplifies the “us not me” philosophy which we hold in such high esteem. We as a community and a family lift each other up and promote the camaraderie displayed when folks PR or need help when struggling with a WOD. Trent is the person who will always be at your side supporting your efforts and we feel he deserved that recognition. Congratulations Trent! Keep being yourself.
The winner of the BBQ Cook of was Tim Gorszczyk for making some fall off the bone baby back ribs. Well done Tim and congratulations.
For those of you who sampled Ascent Protein last Friday night and pre-ordered your bags are here. For everyone else we ordered cappuccino, chocolate, vanilla, and lemon.
Thank you to everyone who has sent Maria and I well wishes in regards to Dottie’s health. She is out of the hospital and recovering and going through therapy at Smith Village. She asks about everyone and is eager to get back in the Box. Huge “Thank You’s” must go to Team Unicorn Fury (Dottie’s team) who performed 18.5 in Dottie’s honor.
Thank you to everyone who donated to Workout to Wipeout Domestic Violence. We collected $585 for A New Direction. Your generosity will help women and children escaping domestic violence get resources they need.
We would love to get positive "Athlete Testimonials" to post on the new CFB web page. We want to share our community with the neighborhood and surrounding areas and your testimonials are so important in giving people confidence to come through our doors. If you have some free time and have good things to say about your CFB experience, please jot it down. We would love to share it. Thanks in advance.
PARENTS: Please, please keep an eye on your children if you bring them to the box. We understand sitting in the lobby is no fun for them, but this is a safety issue. Barbells come down hard from overhead and cannot be stopped even if a child runs out onto the floor. The staff is not responsible for keeping your children in the lobby area and should not have to police them.
